"Play-off Contention"

Almost two weeks weeks left or more if remember tonnes of postpones and the farther away the more interesting it becomes confusing the situation around play-off seedings. Hope all remember and know that in this season just 6 best teams according to the results of group can get the right to fight for highest places! Of course visually you can distinguish the group of teams which will decide who goes next and who stay, but obviously all can fast change in one single moment in addition handicap between 2-3 places and 6-8 just a 14 points (not include postponed games), also some opponents will have matches between each other which also adds sharpness to end of group stage ^^ Will not list them just enjoy the party, and look what waiting bands at pre-last week.

I feel that it is silly to change the rules / system like that mid season since the standings could be like they are because of system itself. Sure this is not always the case but this is the natural assumption when you don't include RL things. Sure this isn't as extreme of a change like some previous leagues where they drastically changed the system from 4 solo 1 2v2 to 2 solo 1 2v2 for the playoffs or reseeding new matchups every round of the playoffs instead of following the grid layout but it is still a change that is best done at the start of next season since I think that it will be interesting if the map pool is really taken into consideration along with this change.

#7 you are right, well -3 vetoes when the 1st map is not from the mappool and -2 vetoes when it is. It seems to be the best solution if people wanna change rules.

REGGG, sometimes 1st map is not from mappool. But I agree, 3 veto is too much for that small pool. If we add LT&MV, then I will agree with 3 veto.
But this should not happen, rules should not be changed during season imho!

For the most important part of the mu it will just fuck the player winning the 1st map.

Cuz the player winning the 2nd map will choose the map he would like to play between 4 maps by vetoing 3 maps.

Then more chance for 2nd winner to win the 3rd match.

Veto 1 or 2 means everyone can choose a map onetime ! Not two times the same guy !

3 vetos is a good way to avoid playing imbalanced maps for certain matchups for sure a great idea which i highly support.

Maps after G1 : 8 maps
Winner veto 3 maps : 5 maps
Maps after G2 : 4
Winner veto 3 maps : 1 MAPS !!!!!!!

That means the WINNER of the second map CAN CHOOSE the LAST map.

Then it's completly unfair !!!!!!

Regarding the vetoes issue, I think the bigger problem is not with the number of vetoes, but with the map pool. I know that it is relatively "standard" for most tournaments nowadays (although you rarely see DI elsewhere), but I'd say it favors Elf to a large extent. In fact, if we could measure the map pool in terms of relevance to races it would look something like this:

Night Elf = 100% relevancy
Orc = 80% relevancy
Undead = 60% relevancy
Human = 30% relevancy

Human has very few maps to choose from per match up, so I'd say either go with 0 vetoes, or with many vetoes per player (for example 3). Otherwise it would still be the same.

Voted for 1 veto because 1 veto was in rules and I dont like change rules during season.

Actually I think it can be even 0 vetoes, because mappool is very imbalanced for Elf vs Human. Humans always don't have enough vetoes (for example, I want veto 6 maps against elves: AI DI TM SV EI NI), but elf with only 1 veto can close one neutral map (LR). Other map are beneficial to elves imo.
